be sure they are tight bolted to the door first and then to tigten up the slack just push the rod thats attached to the handle on the inside a bit more stright. it has a slight bend but if ya strighten it a tad it will help lessen the rattle OR you can go on e bay and buy a new set for $10 each.

Often a small spring in the handle itself breaks and allows flop. No amount of tightening handle to body will help. Replacement is the only solution for this problem.

naaa, wont fall off but it sure makes for a sloppy handle. go to a good parts store and in the HELP! section they sell door handles as well for a lil better than $10 IIRC.

one question at a time!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol. naa not hard to replace. pull your door panel off, then use a 10 mm wrench and un do the 2 nuts holding it on. there will be a rod with an S or Z shape sorta that hold the rod on. ther will also be a clip, just pop the clip and snake the rod out and its off.

Should you decide to dig into the door, check the sticky at the top concerning "window/door rattles".

a loose door handle shouldn't fall off, but it will eventually break. replacing them is cheap and easy. those HELP! door handles were way too expensive at the local advance auto. i got a pair on ebay for less than advance is charging for 1. it's a very easy swap, well worth the time and money.
