I want to upgrade to a power antenna, but whenever a original 3rd gen antenna pops up it costs a small fortune and because of its age I don't want to pay that much (even if I could find some other way to justify spending that much money). The 4th gen antennas seem to be a lot cheaper, so would one of those work on a 3rd gen?

 

I dont see why not, but I think they are in a differnt place on fourth gens im not sure though

 

get a universal at like autozone had one that looked almost exactly like original and works fine just read the back of the box and it'll tell you what it fits.

yeah ive got a universal one, one of the ******* neighbor kids ripped mine off shortly after it quit working. That's how I know they work fine put on in a friends cadillac after hers quit working too.

 

Alright, is there some kind of bezel I need to buy to go with it?

 

mine came with everything i needed. you basically use the same mounting bracket thats in the car factory.
