1991 trans am WING!

Does any body have a 1991 wing??? A trimmer fell on mine and broke it.

Try the classifieds....youll probably have better luck.

Good luck! Those wings weren't made out of the most durable stuff, so finding one in a junkyard will be a long shot. Check the classifides.

Well said, they didnt even hold up on cars that were taken care of...

For an Aero spolier, aftermarket is gonna be your best option.

Can someone post a pic of what this part is? I've got a spoiler from a Trans Am or a Firebird that came on my Camaro SC(took it off...useless wings are for penguins, not Camaros).

91-92 dont use the aero spoiler.

They have the large flat wrap around style, not the aero.

I dont know if they reproduce them aftermarket, you can try looking.

More than likely start watching the classifieds and/or hitting up the thirdgen used part folk.

I have been involved in fixing on or two of them and it can be done quite nicely depending on how busted up it is.

The '91-'91 TA and Formula spoilers are made of fiberglass and are much more durable than the old rubber style used in previous years. They hold up quite well, although they can get cracked if handled roughly.

Let's hope this comes up... I've got this in my garage. It needs a painting(it's primer) and the screwholes might need a redrilling(they were rotted out). If this is what you need, you can have it for just shipping.

Just found this guy's car over in Auto Detailing forum.. it's an '87 Firebird and my wing looks a lot like his: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...ntedCar018.jpg

Although the picture of your blue car is super-tiny, it appears to have the '91-'92 TA/Formula style wing, whereas the other car that you show a picture of clearly has the base Firebird spoiler (also used on the early Thirdgen TAs)

Neither are my car, I've got an '87 Camaro. I'm trying to find a picture of the wing that came on my Camaro when I bought it(most definitely was not Camaro). I've not got much of an eye for non-Camaro stuff yet. I'll see if I can find a camera and just get the picture myself.

Edit: Ahh, a closer look at the blue car shows the difference...the wing doens't dip down on the sides. Mine looks almost exactly like the one you say comes on the base Firebird models, which means mine isn't much use to redshirt. Oh well.

Thanks for your responses guys!

Its a wrap around wing, not a straight spoiler. Id be interested in any help.

I put it into the garage, where its safe and where my dad placed a trimmer spinner side down,, next to my TA,,, so it fell on to the perfect spolier.

<<-----------Changed avatar to broken wing !

This is the 1991 wrap around, i took it to a body shop and they analyzed the plastic and told me it can't be fixed properly by bonding, " it would crack throught the mud on a sunny day"...

Oops...I jumped the gun on that one and forgot the 91-92 cars had a different spoiler.

there's something strange about my car, it's all factory, and it's a 1992, but the spoiler isn't a wrap-around. any ideas?

If it's a base Firebird with the Sports Appearance Package, then yes, it'll have the straight spoiler.

How are the aero and wrap around wings fastened to the hatch? I have the base model wing and want to put either the aero or wrap around on.
