How to properlly repair an IROC grill
I picked up an IROC grill for my '89 RS today. Has some slight low/high areas. I was woundering if a filler would be good to use, then sanded/painted to make it smooth and nice?
What would you do to properlly repair this?
(Notice on the passenger side opening (left in the picture) the off colour area, its like a gouge out of the actual surface)

still not as cheap as a bottle of glazing compound, some sandpaper and some flat black paint. ive glazed my hood louvers because the previous owner had some big scratches in it. i filled it and sanded it w/ 1000grit, then used the plastic adhesion prep and then painted flat black

Before I purchased new (I wanted the Camaro lettering to be in silver), I rattle-canned the old one. Looked pretty darned good.

When I took off my "Camaro" grill in favor of the bow tie one, I restored it just for the hell of it. Some gloss black engine paint really livens it up. Then go to a hobby shop and get a silver paint marker and use that to color the "CAMARO" lettering. Came out nice, if I do say so myself.

I bought mine for like $60 bucks....and it seemed to have a few low spots in it. To me...it wasn't enough to worry about. One thing I did do was I painted it satin black and cut out an aluminum bowtie...
