I need to know how many watts the stock foglight bulbs are. I have HID headlights now so my foglights look like **** when they're lit up so I want to buy some of those HID look-a-like bulbs so the fog lights match the headlights. The ones I found are 35 watts or so. Since I have an RS I don't have seperate wiring for the fogs, I just have them hooked up to the parking lights and I don't want to melt down the wiring.

 

Stock fog light bulbs for camaro are # 885 which are 50 watts

 

Knowing the stock wattage won't help if you keep your fogs tied into the parking light circuit. You're probably already overloading it. 35 x 2 = 70 watts at, what, about 13 volts? That's plus 5 amps on an existing 20 amp circuit. Can't fix that by just upping the fuse to a 25. Need to run a new circuit for your fogs.
