New Guy posting up project pics

HI everybody i am new here and was surfing the web for some info to complete my resto and firgured it share my work ...its a 83 TA but the pics are poor due to lighting in my garage ..it was basically stripped down to the bare shell ..the body was totally solid with no Rot or Major damage ..the fenders however were junk ..these pics were taken after the initial body work was done and the first coats of PPG primer were applied ..the Primer was the Block sanded out with 320 grit and any low spots or imprefections left were smoothed over with Polyester filler and blocked out ...this is how it sits now ..next will be a few more coats of PPG primer Then back to block sanding with 400 Grit Wet then onto 600 Grit ..

onto under hood ...the battery tray was rotted out to i drilled out the spot welds and headed to the pick and pull to drill out a solid one ..after that was all welded in engine compartment was stripped bare and primed with PPG primer ..the primer was sanded with 320 and a red scotch brite pad ..after that a coat of sealer was laid down and 3 coats of gun metal grey metallic and 2 coats of low gloss clear ...sitting in there is a 5.7 liter bottom end from a 91 corvette and some polished /ported /gasket matched heads with erson roller rockers ..the rest of the body should be jammed in and painted this weekend if all goes well ...

The ghost bird will look killer! I had thought about doing that on mine many times. Your car looks great man.

That's the same color my car is supposed to be so to see what it'll look like when it's all done, i can't wait. Keep us posted on it's progress. How the color looks on your car will determine whether I go with GunMetal Metallic or just Charcoal Gray.
