Anyone have pics of a SOM 3rd gen Formula or Trans Am? Im considering this for the color of my next project and was curious what it looked like on the 3rd gens. Thanks.

and let me say that SOM is an AWESOME color.

 

I really like SOM on fourth gens; I'd love to see pics of it on a third gen.

Mine's actually Tangerine pearl (from the 2003 PT cruiser special edition) when I was looking at colors, the SOM wasn't too far from the original maroon that was on it, so I went a little flashier, and I'm really happy with it.

Slightly off topic, but do you have a larger pic of the mag piece you posted, it's hard to read in that size.

Nice looking car. I could make out something about door handles. Which ones and how much work to make them hook up internally? Any closeups on the handles?

My baby Old pic, mud flaps are gone, exhaust has been changed, ls1/t56 combo in now along with 01 interior.

 

The handles are from a mid 90's grand prix. My body guy cut out the whole thing about 4-5 inches around the handle, and welded them into the door. The only other thing was to have the locks re-keyed and weld the two door lock rods together (they work great). I have a bunch more pictures on my work computer, I'll start a thread sometime Monday.

I dont have a larger scan of the mag article, but it was in hometown hotrodding, popular hotrodding, june 2006.

Sunset Orange Metallic is a very sweet color for a Camaro. One of my favorites other than black.

 

I did my last camaro prowler orange. Its not as dull looking as sunset.well can not post pics click on my sig

On an integra maybe. But I wouldn't drive a car with that fruity color.

Not crazy about the two-tone but the solid one is TIGHT!!! Next to black and maybe candy apple red, Sun Set Metallic orange is my favorite color!
