Hatch Leak! Help!
Hey all, It's been raining here for about 3 days in a row, roughly an inch and a half of rain, and my car is parked outside, and I have been driving it. But I went to get golf clubs out of my trunk earlier today, and I noticed that everything I had in the trunk was wet, and the floor was soaked. Does anyone have a similiar problem? My Spare tire area, was wet aswell. The Weatherstripping around the hatch looks fine, no cracks or breaks, but could it be where the glass meets the rear part of the hatch thats leaking?
I know there is sealent in there..
Thanks, KP. Any input would be greatful.

I noticed the same thing in mine this spring....I had thought it was condensation coming from the inside of the rear window. My watherstripping is good as well, so I was stumped. To get rid of the water I simpley peeled back the carpet in the spare tire well drilled a 3/8 hole and put some paint on it with a rubber grommet to try to stop any rust. now theres no worries of water being held in the trunk.

My 91 camaro still lets a little water in despite having replaced the trunk seal.It lets water in on both sides directly under the leading edge of the metal part of the trunk, but not as badly as yours from the sound of it.Any ideas out there?

Yea it was pretty bad, but my clothes in the trunk soaked most of it up. I'm banking on the seal between the glass, and the spoiler is where it's coming in. I'll check it out on monday, it's the weekend, and I have fishing to do..

I had a similar problem, turned out there was rust of the side of the hatch letting water in.

Re: Hatch Leak! Help!
I found out that it was my hatch seal leaking, so I got my buddy in the trunk and hosed it down with a power washer. It was right between the rear piece of the hatch, and the left tail light. It was like a small waterfall. I resiliconed the seal, but i'll have to buy a new one as the one I have is bent out of shape.
