Please help Door pictures
I am in desperate need of some door pictures from an 82-84 camaro door. What I am having trouble with is mounting the triangle piece for the corner part of the window. My body guy took everything apart and I can't figure out how to put it back together. Also it seems as if newer doors mount the piece different. I have seen pics of newer doors and the have holes where mine does not. Thank you.

Re: Please help Door pictures
I don't have any "real" picutres as I don't have my doors disassembled. But here are some scans from the 82 shop manual. Based on your description, i think you are trying to install the "Filler at Belt", the black trianglar rubber piece at the front of the window. Note that the Glass Front Runner Channel also bolts to the Filler at Belt assembly, after the assembly is installed.
=+++++ from the shop manual+++++===
FILLER AT BELT
Removal and Installation
1. Remove door trim and detach water deflector.
2. Remove front attachments for door weatherstrip and position weatherstrip to provide access to filler bolts.
3. loosen 2 bolts on filler below beltline
4. Remove not on adjusting stud (Fig. 5-31)
5. Remove bolt attaching front run channel to filler.
6. Pull filler up and remove through belt opening.
7. To install, reverse removal procedure.
=++++++ end+++++===
Just to give you some idea how GM described removal & installation.
Attachment 1 is Figure 5-25 "Door Hardware Attachments"
Attachment 2 has Figure 5-31 in the upper left side of the page.
Attachment 3 is Figure 5-33 "Glass Front Run Channel Retainer"
Your best bet may be to download the attachments and view them in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer so you can rotate and zoom as necessary.

Re: Please help Door pictures
Thanks for the pics guys. I think I figured it out from looking at the pictures it looks like they changed the design of the channel and door triangle piece. I appears that I have been trying to install newer window hardware in an older door. Thanks guys.
Also it looks like on the older style the triangle piece and channel are two seperate pieces. Where as the newer one is one piece.

Re: Please help Door pictures
Glad the scans helped you figure out what the problem is. It doesn't help get the door together any faster, but at least you aren't trying to fit peices together that won't go together.
Good luck on getting your door(s) reassembled.
