i know the simple answer is to buy new floorpans, but $216 per side definetly not in budget. Also the floorpans have more rust than expected due to leaking t-tops and the ever so absorbant insulation.i'm going to fix leak so thats not an issue. ihad planned on cutting out the dips in the rear floor and repaing. not possible for me to duplicate, but i for sure can make it stronger. i have subframe cnnectors i'm also going to install. i'm actually at that point now. my thought was to cut out both rear dips making the floor even front to back, but also adding tubes to strengthen the whole floor front to back. in doing so, i would be gaining a massive amount of space underneath conveniently giving me the room needed for true dual exhaust. i do plan on purchasing new floors but nowhere close to now, maybe 4 or 5 years. what is anyone's opinion on if this can be done. remember i am getting floors in 5 years, this is for now.

i think everything you want to do would cost you more then $432. Plus unless you know exactly what you are doing, and have access to free metal go ahead. their really is not much to out floors, they are bent on a pinch weld along the rocker, other then needing a bead roller to strengthen the metal, cant see not being able to make your own floors if you can fabricate up bracing.
if you are talking about rust in the rear seat buckets, and that you won't be able to duplicate that part., well if you are adding bracing back there, i don't see you running rear seats. So their would be no real point in trying to duplicate that.
Any way's just what i think, think you should slow down and do a bit of research, maybe someone local is scrapping a non t-top camaro and the rear seat bucket is in good shape. Make a deal and go there and cut them out before he scraps it.
