urethane primer and humidity?

my car is about 95% ready for primer so i would like to spray it saturday...the only problem is that it is going to rain saturday and sunday. i have a clean garage so the car will stay dry but will the humidity in the air effect the out come of the primer. by the way it is maxx fill 2K urethane primer if that makes a difference.

I'm not familiar with that particular primer. That question would probably be better answered by the manufacturer.

It shouldn't make much of a difference. You may notice that it will "swell up" around areas where there is filler underneath, but if given enough time to fully cure before sanding for paint, it will be fine.

Re: urethane primer and humidity?

i did think about the fact that body shops dont close when it rains. but i figured having heat and ac to control the temp would also control the humidity for the most part. so i will probibly spray it and just wait to block sand. i will let you all know how it goes.

Re: urethane primer and humidity?

Just remember that urethane paints harden faster with increased humidity. You will be ok if you adjust your reducer accordingly to compensate.
