look on flebay for a 92 camaro service manual. I bought mine there and it tells you everything from front to back bumper every nut and bolt. they might be used but ithink there are some reproduction ones. they are also a little pricey and make sure it is also a 92 chevy manual

Re: '92 take down

I decided to take my car apart over the winter and I didn't really think about if I could put it back together lol. Basically, I took a ton of pictures and labeled all the nuts/bolts/screws/pieces I took off. I haven't got the car totally back together yet, but I have most of it back together.

Basically, once you take it apart, you have a good idea how to put it back together. Its like the infamous saying, "installation is the reverse of removal". I say just jump in and take pictures and label as you go and you will do fine. Just remember, expect it to take twice as long as you planned and cost twice as much. Not trying to be negative, but I found that one out the hard way and its not fun.

started mine last summer with the ideal of just putting a new coat of paint on it and replacing the motor. Ended up stripping the engine bay and pulled the cross member out and sandblasting and painting it. now its on blocks with no doors or a hatch on it and down to metal waiting to be painted

Yep, thats what happens. You take something off and then think, "what the heck, I'll just take that off too...and that...and that...". I just wanted to change my interior and paint the car, then it turned into a car body with nothing but a dashboard left on it. Whenever you take something apart, you always seem to find something else to fix.

Helms manuals are great. I was a little cheap and just went with a Chiltons which is alright unless you need details.

No Offense, but the Chilton Manual has been useless to me since I've owned it. Lots of VERY general instructions, not enough specifics. Depending on your skill level it can be helpful though I guess, I've been working on chevy trucks for a few years (owned several) and everything is pretty much the same just alot tighter of a fit.

Yeah, Chilton manuals are definitely no where near as helpful as a Helms would be. I wouldn't recommend it unless you are just looking for things like torque on bolts, plug wire firing order, and simple things like that.
