How screwed am I??? [Doors]

So I went out and found me a real nice replacement door for the pass side.
$75 in good shape and no rust.

Get it home and realize its an electric door. [no crank and wires haning out of it.] I was the first door he showed me and just looked so good I took it.]

Can all the guts from a manual door go in easy?
It came with no glass and the tracking inside is lose.

Mucho worried about the window crank, is there mounting places for both manual and electric in all the doors?

Door is off an 84 camaro

Wont hurt to try to transfer the tracks & hardware from one to the other, chances are it all interchanges.

Good luck

Re: How screwed am I??? [Doors]

I would say it would all transfer over.....gm would not make two different doors for electric or manual windows......the window regulator has ALWAYS been a major headache for me! the whole spring thing and the tight spaces have always been something i try to avoid....if it gets real ugly, you could always take it to a glass place.....they change side glass for people and there will be somebody there who can get it right..........or maybe it just won't be that big an issue???

Re: How screwed am I??? [Doors]

From what I was told when I bought my 2 doors for my camaro is that they will convert somewhat easy to manual doors. I am in the same place you are I need to convert them to Manual from electric. I just need to get the electric stuff out and put the manual stuff in. I was told there are hole for the manual cranks also in with the door. Just look at the door with the manual cranks and see where it is mounted before taking apart.

its a pain in the butt, but yes you can switch it over, only thing thats diffrent is that the regulators use diffrent mounting holes for the rivits.

Yea It should really work take a look at it and see how it all fits up. I know for a fact that convertible things will work on a t-top car so they have to be the same. (seats)
