Easy, Hard, or a huge PITA?
I have a 1991 Camaro RS but its been wrecked, some idiot ran into the rear end, the glass is busted out and the whole hatchback part of it is all ****ed up, the tail lights and bumper are messed up too, the rear fender area on both sides i think is good condition though. none of the frame is messed up. I can get the hatch piece, the tail lights, and the bumper for pretty cheap, i just need to know how hard its ganna be replacing it. And the best way to do it... thanks....

hey man, as long as the frame and the quaterpanels are in good shape. it shouldn't be that bad. the hatch should be taken off first so the glass is not a hazard. then the tail lights and then the bumper. That way you put the bumper on and then the lights. and when you put the hatch back on you already will have everything back together. Get a buddy to hold the hatch with you. -Matt

Be prepared for some rear body panel damage where the tailights go in. But really the rest of it is pretty simple to work on.

you won't really know how much damage you have until you take that bumper cover off. If the impact was enough to break the rear glass, the odds are that your rear impact bar took a pretty good hit. You'll probably be looking at replacing that bar and possibly need some repair work on the "frame" mounts for the impact bar. As mentioned above, you may also have damage to the body behind the taillights.
Do you have any pictures of the damage to post? That may help us guess at what damage lies beneath, but the only way to know for sure is to start disassembling and see what you have.

This seems contradictory to me. Which one is it? ... or do you mean that most of the bumper cover was torn off and the impact bar looked fine? That's hard to imagine... let's see the pictures and go from there.
