Crappy luck!! The local dentist hit my house and my car

well this just goes to show that you don't even have to be driving your third gen for someone else to target it lol... anyways yeah this morning woke up thinking one of my kids fell out of bed so i checked and they were fine went outside and this is what i saw! it chipped my cowl hood so i'm gonna go with the ram air 2 bolt on hood and it slightly bent my fender and messed up my bumper cover and front ground effect.. so if anyone knows where i can get a ram air 2 hood fairly cheap please post. also was thinking about going with the Duraflex fenders.. and ram air 2 hood

----------
took it to one of the best body shops we have here in town and they gave me an estimate of $3,024.00 cause of the hood, paint, fender, halo headlights, inner brace for the headlights bumper cover, front chin spoiler their laber and such the usual i guess.. just hope the adjuster sees it that way to

Re: Crappy luck!! The local dentist hit my house and my car

If he parks cars that way, I'd hate to see him do a root canal.

I'd keep with the cowl hood, I think it's looks great. The RA2 hood just doesn't look good on thirdgens.

You sure he wasnt drunk? He had to be going pretty fast to make it through that yard and hit your house while braking.Speaking of I dont see brake marks going through the yard. You should see some kind of brake marks in the yard.

yeh, dont get a ram air hood, I dont think they look good on thirdgens. And i think they look totally wrong on a camaro.

The cowl hood looks fine, just that small chip.

Re: Crappy luck!! The local dentist hit my house and my car

Drunk driver.....

That far up in the yard, with not tires marks on the sidewalk he cross or dug up yard from sliding? Something is fishy in his story.

Ram Air II hoods don't look gdod on anything (Camaros or Firebirds) without the 2 lower openings, that were on 4th gens. The Jongbloed hood rocks though!

Re: Crappy luck!! The local dentist hit my house and my car

Let us know what the adjuster says! I'm sure were all wondering about that.

But yeah....I still can't figure out how the hell that happened. He had to be going way too fast for conditions and/or drunk.

Re: Crappy luck!! The local dentist hit my house and my car

well got good news i settled with the insurance company.. they are sending me a check for $2000 for the car since i'm fixing it myself and a check for $4500 for the garage.. since i'll be fixing it myself also.. work out though cause it only cost me about $800 to build the garage in the first place so i think after i get my hood and such rest is going on go fast parts..

Re: Crappy luck!! The local dentist hit my house and my car

A bit late to chime in but not seeing tire marks is not surprising. I used to work as a porter for a lincoln dealer, the ABS is very aggressive on town cars. Once while driving 30mph a garbage truck pulled out in front of me, I slammed on the brakes and hit the truck going 20mph, in any other car I would have had plenty of time to stop the car (almost an identicle situation happened when I was in a navigator, had no problem stopping). This was on a dry summer day, you couldn't pay me enough to drive a town car on an icy road.

I'm just diggin' the white trash lounger on the neighbors front porch.

Get new furniture in the living room and put the old stuff on the
porch.

I'm thankful for Home Owners Associations or I'd probably have
a lounger on my porch too.

Re: Crappy luck!! The local dentist hit my house and my car

sorry for not getting an update sooner, been really busy lately.. I fixed the garage, haven't messed with the car other than popping the dents out and finishing my spoiler and such.. And we had a really bad ice storm. I actually have another project going on to.. I picked up a sport bike that i'm currently building from the ground up for the drag strip. its an 02 yamaha R1 and building my boys go cart.
