Fog lights...
ok i was thinking about retrofitting aftermarket foglights into the turn/parking light housing (ebay pair) and then to keep use of the turn signal and keep it legal to use a led strip around the housing.
now the reason for this is i have an RS and i like my grill, i know the Z28 looks better and has fogs but to keep some what of the stock clean look, i think this would be a cool mod.
what do you guys think ? let me hear your input thanks

Re: Fog lights...
What about mounting the fog lights in the stock location behind the RS grille? Then you get to keep the grill, and have the lights. They will mount behind, and shine out through the slots.

Yeah I thought about that but I think the mod would give it a more modern look with the leds and all and at night it will look more aggressive in my opinion

Re: Fog lights...
cool, if you can when done upload some night shots to see how it looks, i really dont think the light would shine thru good enough cause the bars on the grill are tilted towards the bottom so yeah you will see light coming out but thats about it . i could be wrong please let me know how it works out for you.
thanks

Re: Fog lights...
You would need a high intensity LED, nothing cheap because when the fogs are on, you will not see them. The LED's will almost need to be blinding to over power the fog's output to be seen safely. Also remember, if your not wiring it yourself, you will need a second strip for parking lights, that aren't as bright. They don't need to be blinding as the turn signals will have to be, because if the fog light is on, then your seen. If the fog light is burned out, they will see the parking light LED strip. Basically you will be battling the brightness of the fog light to make a safe turn signal. That's why in most cases, the fog light isn't as close. Only a few i've seen together like the pontiac grand prix as of late and a few others. All in all, i've thought about something very similar, but decided to go z28 grill and z28 fogs.
