Re: T-top question
I believe they will. Make sure they are the same size & the latch pins are the same also.
There were 2 types-- Cars & Concepts ( C & C ) and factory T- Tops.
C & C are a little smaller than factory tops.
There were also 2 materials-- ( 1 ) Lexan ( 2 ) glass.
As long as they fit the opening & the pins are the same size, either Lexan or glass will work.

Re: T-top question
The 82 may have used hooks instead of pins. In that case you may want to get the hardware from the car body also.

Re: T-top question
Hijacking time....
I want to find lexan t-tops for my base 1985, it has locking glass ones with pins/lever.
What years/models will have lexan ones that will fit?

Re: T-top question
doesnt matter. that is as long as they arent cc tops which are pretty rare ie you most likely find them. The glass and lexan are the same size with the only differences being the pins. you can swap the ones from your glass tops if they are the wrong pins in about five minutes. i wouldnt worry about it.

Re: T-top question
Thanks, good to know, any idea how much the weight savings/difference is by chance?
Re: T-top question
Actually, the weatherstripping changed a couple times. While the tops from one year might well fit another year, unless they're pretty close you may run into problems with the weatherstripping matching up.
Lexan ttops are much much much lighter then glass. You can handle them easily with one hand. They just get cracks inside the plastic that's visible from inside the car. If you don't mind that they aren't crystal clear, they're a nice upgrade. They also are tinted darker, so on sunny days the glare isn't as blinding.

Re: T-top question
Yeah, it occurred to me that the weight savings would be nice for performance and ease of use.
