local guy just joined our nythirdgen.com forum and has this spoiler... and im in love with it..... but nooone can give the right info about this spoiler even he doesn't know where its from cause he bought his t/a with it.... heres a pic of his car

there is a production spoiler like that, i think tis from early birds, 84 maybe? a limited run. I dont know much about this one, i bough one on ebay recently, but got screwed on the deal and am trying ot get me money back.
they are also available from wingswest, i have one on my 86 from wingswest. ITs on their site.

It may be aftermarket as you found wings west, but there is a near matching spoiler that was available around 82-84 on the MSE trans am. A google search will show you those spoilers, although I do not believe the two above are the MSE spoiler.
As far as the first car posted, I like the corvette side marker thing going on, or is that just my imagination? Are they functional?

yea they are... owner of the car currently said the previous owner had it fiberglassed on....

The spoiler was used on the 1983 and 1984 California Firebird 500 cars.

Looks pretty good, definably creative.
But yea, MSE Trans Am Spoilers are the ones people are thinking about when they see that spoiler. Heard a lot of people had issues with the MSE units cracking in half because of no center support. I'm assuming that was from leaning on, not an aerodynamic issue.
