you could take out the back seats, pretty easily, if thats too labor intensive for ya, they fold down

Or you could custom fabricate a "rear deck extension" out of fiberglass and custom car carpeting.

Search "rear seat delete". Plenty of posts on that subject. Most people will build their own, although theres a site on one of the posts with a link to company that makes them.

I just removed the back seats by unbolting them and pulling them out, removed the seat belts, had a scrap of carpet from another firebird laying around that was the same shade as mine, so I cut it to shape like a big floor mat and laid it out to cover the lower seat area. It looks really nice, professional, and best of all if I need I can just bolt the seats back in and go stock. No need for a hack job or one of the expensive storage thingies. All it took was a 13mm socket and T45 torx IIRC.

I know exactally what you mean about the roll bar. Back seat was nearly useless before the roll bar. I boxed mine in with carpeted MDF board and used the area for the battery and storage.
