Need help fast!!!!!!!

My trunk will not close. I have the motor operated closing type. The motor will not kick on to close the trunk. It is very cold out here in PA and was hoping you guys could give me some pointers on what to look into to fix this. Thanx

I had this happen once to my 86. In the lock mechanism itself, there are several levers. Push down on the motor assembly, shaped like a triangle, or try and turn the latch counterclockwise upward. If there is power to it, one of these should allow it to close properly. Hope it helps.

This might seem like a crazy thing to do, but it worked on my hatch... So what if your saying that your hatch motor does not reset to the right hight to grab the hatch and pull it down. If you saying that then this should work. There is a little trigger switch that when pushed down will make the motor rize up... If you put your finger down and push the switch and hold it till the motor rises up you can then slowly lower your hatch down. The butting will be right in the area where the hatch U ring goes in the moter... Hope this helps Happy stuning.
