that's your own personal prefrence.. I like cloth because it's easier to drive with cloth seats in the summer

I prefer leather. I'm trying to quantify my claim with a reason, but I'm finding it difficult. In many cars the leather seats are firmer than their cloth counterparts, but in the f-bodies they're the same seats with different covers. It's just better though

i would say that for looks leather is better, but for comfort, my personal opinion is that cloth would be better. As far as i am concerned, anything that is not red looks good.

Check it out jim85, here's your reason,

Clothes stick to cloth seats, you can't move freely and get comfortable. Leather is smooth, and comfortable.

Cloth stains easily and is hard to clean anyway. Leather doesn't stain, and is very easy to clean.

Chicks dig leather better anyway.

Believe me, chicks don't dig leather when they are wearing miniature shorts, and its 110 degrees outside, and your car is 150 degrees inside. Their legs stick to that hot *** leather. Although, I like leather also During the hot summer months, I gotta put a white towel over my console and the steering wheel just so I can touch it when I get back into the car.

Leather also freezes your butt in cold weather. That is where heated seats come in (not an option on 3rd gens).

When new, I think leather is great. But as they age, they don't seem to hold up as well as cloth, especially if you live in a climate where there are extremes between summer and winter.

For long term durability, I give cloth the nod.

I agree w/ everybody on this topic about the pro's & cons but I love leather for the simple fact that it lasts damn near forever. If you keep up w/ the maintenance & the attention that it deserves by treating it then it would last you a life time unlike cloth. I have had to have my drivers side seat re-clothed twice already in the 2 yrs I have owned it & it needs to be re clothed again but since I have new seats waiting to be leathered up they will take it's place. Leather gets my seal of approval.

third gen leather lasts forever? I'd like to take a survey on that. both my driver and passenger seats have cracks and rips in them. the cushion material is flat and crushed, And no one makes replacements(gta transam seats) I've been looking for two years. either stay with the cloth or get camaro seats.. at least you can get them recovered

I'm sorry, I should of restated that. I am talking about having a set of seats completely redone in corinthian leather, brand new. That's what i meant. I'm not talking about that cheap crap that came from the factory.

Looks cool man. I have no idea if that is good or bad for the price b/c I have never gone out & priced leather for my seats yet. Is that a good price per square ft???
Do you happen to know how many square ft it takes to upholster each seat???? Thanx for the link

I have red leather in my Z. They are'nt half as comfortable as the cloth seats in my GTA.That is probably due more to design than material though. Also the leather in thirdgen's is very thin compared to the leather in other GM's.Its like tissue paper.

i love the leather seats in my car..
They are prety nice when it's cold out, but only if you're wearing jeans.. if you have kahkis on you freeze your @$$ off..
As far as the summer goes, use a windshield reflector thingy.. i'm also lucky to have super ice cold ac..

Super Ice Cold AC, helps a little, not so much here in Texas though. I have changed the refrigerant in my compressor a couple of times, and its pretty cold, but those stock ac fans blow so slowly, that it takes forever to cool the car. All I gotta say is.. B L A H
