Is it possible to replace just the pouch thing (glovebox?)on the dash? If so, how does it come off (mine is split along the bottom).

Yes, it is possible to replace this often-worn piece. The back side of the pouch has two "prongs" that snap through the dash panel and hold it into place.

Just carefully pry the pouch up away from the dash, and slowly snap the entire piece back through the dash panel. It's a pretty simple deal.

Actually there are like 4-5 prong things.
i changed mine in my 90 formula with one from a 84 firebird,the original one inthe formula had a little bird about the size of a dime,the one i got out of the 84 had a big bird and has firebird printed underneath it,and also has a flap that folds over.

Classic Industries listed a glove box that mounted in place of the map pocket but I don't think they carry it anymore. It mounted the same way. Wish I'd bought one when I had the chance.
