ok how bad is this?

ok how bad is this?

my camaro is sitting at home while i am at school. my parents told me that one of the tires has gone flat. i guess just a slow leak.anyway how bad is it that the cars sits on the rim with the deflated tire? it is not being moved or anything it is just sitting so is this bad.

It has been my experience that a rim sitting on a flat tire is not good for the rim or the tire, more so for the rim if it's aluminum.

Its not that bad, cause you didn't drive on it, or anything like that. Just get it fixed so you can drive ASAP

Working as a mechanic for the last 6 years I can safely say that while sitting still the rims will suffer no damage, the tire on the other hand will get damaged...

could be a bead leak, that happens a lot when they use clamp over weights instead of stick on ones, if that's the case take it to where you got the tires and tell them to put on the stick-on ones

If that tire sits flat for a month get a new one when you get home. It's going to be completly shot. The rim should be ok though.
