How much difference does Dynamat make?

I was thinking about putting some Dynamat around in the interior of my car. I was just wondering if this stuff was really good at keeping road noise out and music in. Also, is the spray any good, and what does it look like when applied?

It helps, but is not a cure-all. Tightening all the fasteners and general de-squeaking are first priority. Also it is important to read the instructions on the dynamat installation. Good surface prep (clean) and warm temps are needed. I have also used Goop brand adhesive to mount some components. Do a knuckle-rap test to find the source of rattles, then goop them and use the dynamat. My doors do seem quieter and sound better closing now. Good luck, Lon.

If you want something that works just as well as Dynomat, but is MUCH cheaper, look at B-Quiet.

I thought about this, what about the spray foam insulation for houses in cans, Great Stuff, that is the name, Great Stuff. Do you think I could spray that up in my T-Top frame nothing would protrud into it. Just in the roof frame. ????? I did not do it yeat because I don't know the side effects. Don't want to do something dumb to my car, unlike that ***** kid see, Import Sport look on a RS Camaro.

Watch out with how much you spray up there, because when it expands ALOT it could deform your exterior panels. I used it to fill in the spare tire well of my 93 Eldorado and worked great along with 250 sq feet of dynamat through out.
