91 RS to Z28 emblems interchange?

Hey Guys (and gals) I have a 1991 RS that I installed a Z28 145 MPH dash Hood blisters, IROC rims, steering wheel (non air bag) and all the other Z28 goodies.
Can I replace the RS emblems on the ground effects and rear bumper with the Z28 emblems? Is it just as simple as swapping them out?
I know its a clone but I like it.

Westy.

This is one of those things where if you feel you must ok, but why? Doesn't make it faster or more desirable. Let's be honest, the best shape factory 350 tpi z28 would have a hard time keeping up with a new V6 Camaro. Leave it RS and build it into something fast. Otherwise you have to explain to people why your Z28 is so slow and only has an L03 305 in it.........just my opinion though.

I have an iroc hood on my RS and even painted the headlight buckets black, but I won't consider changing the emblems because I'm proud of my RS. If I wanted and z or an iroc, I'd just buy another! two is always better than one! It is your car though, do what ya want with it!

Well the little 305 is going to be gone and a 350 is built. Just have to install it. 331 hp and 457 tq.
But I get where your all coming from. I will leave the emblems for now.

My 2 cents.

If your going to label your car as an iroc-z or z28. You might and well make it a clone. So get disc breaks and posi if you don't and you got the hood just install the L98 5.7 and make sure you get the inside dash emblem as well.

Other than like a sway bar or maybe front breaks being like a 1LE set up isn't that pretty much everything or the difference between an iroc and RS ?

I don't know so if someone would explain exactly

what's different on a RS to iroc-z

1. Iroc-z rims for RS
2. L98 5.7 vs v6
3. Iroc hood
4. Electric power seats windows (both can have this tho)
5. Posi disc breaks
6. Front breaks larger better ones (1LE ? )
7. Iroc-z paint on door panels and eye lids black
8. Iroc-z decals on outside of car
9. Inside decals
10. 145mph cluster
11. Tranny isn't a basic 700r4 it's built a little stronger.
I think it's like a 4160 lol or something

What else am I forgetting ?

i have a rs and i think z28 sounds more desireable.ive concidered changing my emblems.its no different than taking a pontiac tempest and cloning a gto.

Re: 91 RS to Z28 emblems interchange?

To be honest I'm kinda in the same boat. While my car is and always be an 84 sport coupe, its been turned into a '92 Z tribute aesthetically. It's about to get a full suspension upgrade but still retains it stock motor and tranny. My issue is also emblem choice. I have yet to buy them because I can't decide if I should go with
Z28 to complete the look or go with something else. I actually like the rocker emblems that just say "Camaro" but I can't find a mint set anywhere. Personally I would Never call or represent my car as a Z. It was born a SC and I'm proud of that.
