What bulb goes in the console flashlight??
After seeing that people are getting $50+ for flashlights, I decided to take apart my corroded, completely blue flashlight and make it work again. I got all of the brass clean again, but the bulb was stuck in there good. I completely destroyed the bulb, and any ring that may have been around it. I tried to unscrew it but the whole thing turned, so I had to bend it in and get it out. Anyway, does anybody know what bulb goes in there, and can somebody take a good digital picture of how the bulb is held into the brass tab? Thanks!

THe more I examined it, I think it was a push-in bulb that sat in a socket that I completely destroyed. I bought a small automotive bulb and got it to fit, but it's a 12 volt bulb so the 2 AA batteries don't do crap. I have to get a flash light bulb.

I AM SO STUPID!!! After trying everything for the last three years, I now feel extremely dumb. My flashlight has never worked, and I wasn't sure why. I cleaned everything, checked connections, and just gave up. The bulb is a 12V. There it is. I think I'll crawl under a rock for a while.

Dude, don't feel bad. Although I didn't stare at it for 3 years, I bought a 12 volt bulb and didn't realize until I was halfway home that a 12 volt bulb won't do **** with a 3 volt light.

The bulb is Wagner Part#222

I also had 2 that did not work but i just took all the copper parts out and cleaned them real good with a flat head screwdriver and some steel wool, now the both work great!!

Can you really fetch $50 for them? I have a perfectly working one, but don't even have the roof console. I've been hanging on to it thinking "Since I have the rare and coveted flashlight, I really oughta install an overhead console". But I've never gotten around to it.....

It's hosted by geocities,so here's the link-

Is the flashlight that round thing???
#17
No. The flashlight is a removable piece that goes into the rectangular slot that's right above the dome light in that picture.
