digital gauge cluster question

ive noticed the cyberdyne and intellitronix digital gauges, but on my 89 iroc with the cable driven speedo, it has the VSS mounted in the speedometer itself. i know the digital gauges require an adapter to convert to a signal that the digital speedometer can use, but does the replacement cluster itself send the computer a VSS signal so i dont get an error code?

The Cyberdyne dash has a VSS output wire that gives the computer a signal so it can work properly.

The Intellitronix dash requires you to take the VSS assembly apart from the mechanical speedometer itself, and keep it in the cluster, and it gives the computer the VSS signal (so you still need the speedometer cable to go all the way to the cluster housing).
