Notchback GTA's and T/A's aren't that unusual. There have been a couple members with them over the years. I've seen at least one in person. Check any of the online car selling sites and you can usually see 1 or 2.

Do you guys think it would look stupid to put an aftermarket spoiler on the back of the notch back maybe someone with photoshop skills could play with it. when i say aftermarket i mean what wouldnt normally be seen on a TA like a supra style or a 2 leged one. **** off if your one of those "Oh but that would be *****" people. just dont say anything.

At one time I was going to make a wraparound spoiler fit on the notchback, but I realized there wasn't any way to do it without hacking up the trunk lid.

Maybe I'll photoshop something up...

Well, beings that there were only 624 of them ever made in 1988, and only ONE in 1989, I would consider them rather rare. I have seen one inperson, while driving. I think they rock, but are waaaaaay too hard to find, and noone makes a repro one that look anywhere close to factory, which is only what I would buy. Oh yeah, there were NO TTA notchbacks made... the only 89 with a notchback was a red GTA.

I have an '88 GTA Notchback it's the dark red color, black on black cloth with split rear bench and digital dash. I bought it for $4k with 132k miles, it runs o.k. but hopefully I'll find the time to make it as good as new.

I'm pretty new here and to American cars in general so thanks for the info. I should get some pics up.

holy *****. Your car is awesome. Do the t tops fit back there? Looks like you'd have to tape them to the hood.
