Re: aftermarket headlights?

I have HID bi-xenon projectors on mine, best upgrade I've ever done.

I would avoid the ebay stuff, I'm sure they are junk and have a horrible cutoff which will just blind everyone on the road.

I got mine from the retrofit source.

That's not bad at all. How bad were they to install?

Not too bad, you'll need to cut out the bucket that is behind the headlights to make room for the projector back. I did with a dremel with them still installed no the car. Took about 45 minutes to do both.

Then wiring them up is super easy with the kits that retrofit source has. I think for everything took about hour and half to get them all installed.

You mind posting a link for me? Did you have to tear apart the whole headlight?

Re: aftermarket headlights?

How extreme did you want to go as you can do E36 headlights as well if you wanted to. Second pic is how bright they are with just the halos on

contact the retrofit source, and tell them what you need. They normally don't do the retrofits themselves, but I got lucky and there was a guy there who was making some for someone else and the guy bailed on him. Maybe someone might be willing to do it on the side for you.

But if you can find someone to make them for you, it will make things a lot easier and get you the best light possible. Since mine are bi-xenon, there is a shield that is down in low beam, and then when you go to high beam it raises and lights up everything. It's such an improvement over stock, and looks nice when they aren't on too.

Re: aftermarket headlights?

Not really for Camaros but I just bought these LED headlights for my Trans Am. They're the JW Speaker model 8900, basically the top of line option for aftermarket bird headlights out there right now. Usually retailing for $1000 but I found a vendor on ebay that sold a pair for $600. They're on their way right now and will upload pictures of them installed!

Re: aftermarket headlights?

You have to do some cutting to the rad support behind the headlights. I did a write up on how to do it.

Yeah thats my car as it sits now

Re: aftermarket headlights?

I got some cheap ebay headlights and they do look good but their performance leaves much to be desired. They actually need the high beams on for good light output. Well, the ones I bought, anyway.
