Coat hanger with a 90 at the end to pull the lock.. Sucks when that happens

Re: Keys locked in

Is easier to look in the rear corner of the window down into the door at
the latch assem.and locate the locking pawl rod.
Peel back the window sweep and rubber.
Slide a wire with a hook on the end and pull up on the locking rod/pawl/arm.

I do the same thing. After locking my keys in my trans am and spending an hour getting it open I decided to have a spare door key made for my wallet. It sure saves a lot of headache and risk of damaging the weatherstrip

I've also watched as someone just pulled back the door glass far enough to get an arm in!

Re: Keys locked in

Locked my keys in my Camaro one night.
Found a ride back to my house, came back, and some bozo had heard about it and taken a flat head screwdriver and hammer and punched my lock without permission!
Now I'm looking for a matching lock set.
Lesson learned, spare key in the wallet now 😒

Re: Keys locked in

how would some "bozo" find out about you being locked out of your car unless some other massive "bozo" was stupid enough to tell him?
if you are sitting around getting hammered with a bunch of cement heads you shouldn't be getting into your car anyway and if you know
who did it were you man enough to remove that little piece of brain between the right and left hemisphere with the screwdriver (and hammer)?

i know i would be doing that, but i wouldn't have told any drunk morons about how i stupidly locked my keys in the car in the first place.
drunk people are predictably idiotic and annoying as f#$k so you need to rise above the stupidity and use that good old common sense.
