Lemans style gas cap

Lemans style gas cap
has anyone tried to put a lemans style gas cap on? I think they look reall cook and would look right at home on my firebird.

A big outtie gas cap on a car with lots of attention to exterior drag? Seems completely counter intuitive to me. Needless complication that clashes with the rest of the car, but do you.

I don't think they work well on thirdgens since there is no chrome on these cars. Maybe if it were body color? Still not picturing it though...

They look cool ..... but on the back of a C2 maybe C3 Corvette

The mustang cover looks a lot like the sport bike gas cap, minus the lock, but the flush look is more fitting for the f-body. 2¢
