No bumper with defuser 1
No bumper with defuser 2
A couple of concept drawings for a shaved rear bumper with defuser. This will be done in fiberglass in two pieces.

Re: Custom tail panel concept
I’ve already started. A 1” X 2” X .120” tube was added to the middle of the rear bumper and 13 pie cuts were made the entire length and welded to match the curve of the back of the car.
I will make a foam mold and fiberglass a cap and defuser.

I was confused after reading your post title then seeing your drawings. I was thinking you were changing the tail light panel as opposed to the rear bumper design but either way it is an interesting idea. I always liked the way this member changed his rear bumper

Beginnings for the fiberglass mold
Not the final shape yet
I’ve begun the mock-up process for the fiberglass mold. It will be a male buck so that multiple pieces can be made in case I need a replacement.

Re: Custom tail panel concept
At first, since it said "Tail Panel" I somehow got stuck in a loop looking at the tail lights and thinking "those are stock?!?! Whats different?"
Then I noticed the bumper. lol.
I lik eit. I've always liked Center Exits though.

Re: Custom tail panel concept
After installing the taillights, I think it really extenuates the modifications to the rear bumper. It gives more of a prospective of the flush look that I had in mind when I started this project.
