This squeaking is killing me!
I have a persistent loud squeaking noise coming from around the right side door hinge/kick panel/fender area, can hear it with windows down and up. I can rule out suspension noise cause it's all new and the squeaking was there before and after new springs and shocks. There's a lot of bumpy roads around where I live and this is the only squeaky annoying sound this car makes and its driving me frigging insane! Is there anything around this area I can check as the source of the noise???

Could also be a crack in the front left torque box under the car. In that case welding and subframe connectors is the only remedy

I had a very similar squeak in my '91 RS. Was pretty much the worst squeak ever. Finally figured out that it was the driver's door hinges, which I had dismissed since I didn't think hinges could squeak if you're not opening or closing the door, and I had also already lubed them with white lithium grease when I got the car. Nonetheless, the squeak went away when I put more white lithium grease on them.

Open the door, grab the bottom and pull up. If you feel movement, the hinge bushings are worn. It shouldn’t move at all. The driver door I usually worse than the passenger since it is used more. If the bushings are worn, lubrication isn’t going to eliminate the noise.
