Replaced T-top channels. Questions about sealer and painting.
Replaced T-top channels. Questions about sealer and painting.
Was going to grind all the welds down and apply sealer to prevent water leaks. Will 3M Seam Sealer 08367 work? Do I paint over the sealer and then apply the weatherstrip adhesive? Apply sealer between channel and body as well?

there's no need for seam sealer over the welds once they're ground down and painted.
the factory did not install sealer between channel and body but a thin bead shouldn't hurt.
you can paint over the sealer once it's cured.
