truthfully I think your best bet on a hood would be the powerbulge hood. They look great on TA's...I think they look better on TA's than they do on the formulas and the '82-'84 birds. Just my opinion...maybe you should take that into consideration....it gives the car an agressive look without making the hood look out of place. I dont really like the aftermarket hoods...I used to until I saw how the hood looks on my car with the '85-'90 gfx and front end.

Go with whatever factory hood you like best. Most aftermarket hoods make the car look like a carnival ride.

My apologies to those I have offended.

I know I have a pic somewhere of the daytona hood. I used to like it alot in the pictures...until I saw it in person on a red GTA that is in my area. The pic is of a red and silver ta and the side of the hood with the billet holes is silver. It had a turbo spoiler on it I think...I will look for you and post a link or pic.

I dont remember the name of it. I was going to put it on my TA...but I dont know anymore. I kind of like the '91-'92 Z28 high rise better. I think it is the turbo wing. Something to that extent.

Here's a pic of my 1984 Sport Coupe 4 cylinder w/5 speed.

Im adding the domed hood, t/a fendors, and ground f/x from an 82-84 style t/a. Got 16" formula rims on it too.

billsfirebird,
please take this as a complement,

All you need to do is ad the Aero Spoiler and it would look almost exactly like a 87 Formula. Just the bumpers would be different.

I like your car man...

What would it take to put on an aero spoiler?

I was going for the 82-84 T/A look and since they use the regular spoiler I was going to stick with it.

Your right, Im awfuly close to a formula right now! I never thought of it that way. I saw a firebird roll by me the other day that was a 88ish formula with my nose! Everything else was stock. Looked very unusual. So basically that is what my car would look like with the aero spoiler.

Thanks for the insight.

Later,
billsfirebird

britered86transam,
Which car, be specific.

The T/A With the Daytona Hood looks like Craigers
The 83 Firebird has 85-87 T/A WS6 aka 87 Formula Wheels
