My one-owner 1985 Firebird needs the outside window sweeper moulding replaced. It is hardened and cracking, one 1' piece broke off on the drivers door.Q: What is the best place to buy new ones? Q2: Are they hard to pull and replace?

I got mine from A1 Auto

 

A bit of a PITA to replace, but not rocket surgery. Window is somewhat in the way when removing the screws that hold it on. The triangle seal needs removing too, mark its place for re-installing.

After watching a few You Tube videos on the outer door sweep replacement, i am ready to but parts and get it done.
Anyone buy from Classic Industries Parts and Accessories?
Several want to sell you all 4 strips as a kit, but only the outer 2 need replacement.
Looking for the best price and quality.

I've used Fairchild recently with good experiences. available at Rock Auto. might beat anyone else's price?

 

I used A1 Auto good prices PLUS FREE DELIVERY

 

Before u start removing the tiny screws and or reinstalling these screws, place a towel to catch the screws that fall off your screwdriver.
also, magnetize your screwdriver to hold onto the screws because it it a small space u have to work in.

 

Removing the door panel and moving those window stops a bit wil ldefinetley help!

They meant 1A Auto. I've bought from them before.

 

Yes. Remove stops, lower window. But it took 2 days to re adjust glass on my sec Gen, new strips threw it on a bad angle
