Don't replace it, everyone I know of doesn't have the cig. lighter there for 2 reasons: 1, they blow the ****ing fuse all time, 2, they fall out when you floor it.

Ditto on the radar detector plug
I wouldn't worry about it right now, seems you got other stuff to take care of.

Tip of the Iceberg!
Thanks everyone!
You are right when you say I have other things to worry about!
Like, the car needs;
Engine,
Trans,
Prop,
Seats,
Wheels,
Tyres, and other things when I find them!
Good job I have another camaro that I have rebuilt to give me the know-how to tackle this!
More importantly, the car was a "give-away"!

RS in UK
These cars are uncommon in the UK. Finding one in a salvage yard is a feat in itself. Using the 5 finger discount is good if I could find one! It's alright for you lot over there, we have small cars with small engines in small salvage yards! This car is large in this country! Finding a parking space to fit it in is very interesting to say the least. Fitting it into 2 parking spaces is better!
Saying all that, the car certainly turns heads over here! I am a teacher in a 11 to 18 year old school, and they think it is brill!!
The wheels that are on it are temporary, as you might imagine. It did have some others but they were nicked just before I bought the car.
The number plate is another thing! It has been stuck on with impact adhesive (Bostick)! In this country, every car MUST have a plate on the front, but not necessarily where it is now! My other Camaro (www.lowcamaro.com) has it in the middle but lower down.
Another question! Are the seats from a 1984 camaro the same as the ones from a 1991 ? This is because I have been offered seats from a 1984 in grey and I want to cover them with the proper red covers from the dealers. Will they fit? I know that the rear seat backs are different to my others in the '86 but are the other bits different? Especially the front seats?
Thanks to all so far, and take pity on me living in this country!!

Messy interior!
Check this photo out of the interior! Guess what bits are missing?! It will cost more in phone calls to find the bits than it will in buying them!
Any help greatfully received! If anyone is flying to the UK soon and have enough space in their suitcase for a seat or two, or even a V8, let me know and you can have free acommodation!

The 84 seats will certainly have a different cloth pattern than the '91, but they will fit. All the 82-84 Camaro's I've ever sat in seemed to put you closer to the floor too. Having new covers made for your existing seats (if you have them) or for the 84 seats is a good idea. Maybe you can come up with an old seat with worn out cloth that you can use as a pattern. I redid mine a few years back and had them overstuffed slightly, which I am really glad I did, not so much that you can really tell by looking though.
