The horn on my Grant wouldn't work until I grounded the horn cap to one of the mounting bolts. I'm not sure what you mean by straight. If the wheel has just been mounted incorrectly, you'll have to remove it and reposition.

Well it ha been my experience that 90% of people with Grant GT's , their horns end up not working....mines the same way...as far as positionsing goes ....all your have to do is hold the steering wheel straight while u tighten the bolt that holds it on ..or thats how it worked out for me...hope this helps....
Make sure your wheels are straight when you roll to a stop on a level surface. Remove the wheel. Remove the adapter and reposition on the steering column teeth until the wheel is straight. As for the horn, you have a ground wire coming from the horn that goes to the horn button. Run the other to the adapter kit mounting bolt. You may have to drill a small hole and insert a screw in the adapter to have a place to run the wire to. It will ground thru the steering column and the horn will work. Good Luck!!
When I installed my grant wheel I followed the directions whith the wheel. I got every thing perfect. on the painted wheels you need to use the sliver sicker to properly ground the horn. you must also remove the horn botton from the column and use the wire provided with the install kit
As for the wheel being crooked make sure the wheels are pointing forward and then remove the wheel and the adapter and place back on in the proper way.
