Strobe Light Kits
Strobe Light Kits
Anyone know of a place that sells quality 12 V strobe light kits? I've seen the ones at Pep Boys etc, that are like 12 bucks. A few of my friends have them and they suck. Thanks.
If you want the real good strobes like what the police have go to galls . I have ten of them in my car, those that they sell at some of these places are cheap but weak. Expect to pay a lot for good strobes.

Street glow strobes sux. I have some if you want to buy em. I used the galls strobes and those are the same exact ones as in the cruisers. They cost a small mint but are worth it. When I use them running from the cops people move quickly out of the way when I put em on.
I sell Streetglow at work, and they're not the best. Those are more for lets say, ricers who are looking for a little something different. If you want strobes, go to galls and do it right.
Has anyone ever gotten pulled over for the galls strobes??

but seriously. i was just saying for the commercial market streetglow.
yes, ricers, understood, they go to pepboys, a step up is street glow, and then... galls,

Galls has really cracked down on who they sell to. Especially when you go for red and blues. They asked me like 10 questions as to what they were being used for, then after I "pass their test" they said they don't want just anyone having em. To bad I lied!:lala: It depends on what you are looking for they have numerous colors types and packages. You can go from 2 strobes with diff color combo's, to strobes and transformers as a kit. Also transformer sizes differ so you need to go to their site and decide or somehow get a catalog out of em. As for when I got caught with em.... I was never caught on the street using them. They could never catch me when I used em. However a few of the cops new I had em. One night a few friends and I stopped of at D&D for coffee and a cruiser pulled in at a angle blocking my car. I was thinking here we go again(they hated me). He walked in asked me to step out side I asked why and he said just step out side. I told him no I havent done anything tell me what I have done and I will gladly come out. He responded with we suspect you have stolen police equipment in your car. As we were walking out he grabbed the keys out if my hands and started going through my car (93 Caddy Eldorado $17k stereo inside). Just afetr he started the installer of all their equipment showed up to "find" my equipment. They never found one of my front wig wags nor front transformer(I hid them too good). how ever they saw the lazer etched switch panel in my console that said front wig wag, front strobes, rear wigwag, rear strobes, rear lights, and ALL. They were not impressed when they saw all and rear lights. they realized I could cut all lights in the back of my car with one switch
They then ripped out my rear wig wag and transformer (cracked some fiberglass I had done in the process) and stole em. I filed a complaint because they are not illegal to have. The report disapeared and they said he was never there. Needless to say I over nighted new ones ( I told em I would) had em in and the ones they stole ended up in their personal cars. Bastards! that was the last time I stopped for them.

What i did was buy soem from JC whitney there are about ten bucks apiece......available in a ton of colors......and flash twice a second....and you can link as many as you want together.........if your talking about the headlight strobe.......email me and ill let you know how to get your hands on a good set
You can get the real stuff from AW Direct (www.awdirect.com). They're a towing supply company, so they show most of the stuff in orange, but I believe they stock other colors too.
you should of told that dick cop, yeah you show me a warrant and you can
check my car out. Other than that, you have witnesses around you. I actually
have a friend that has a mini-recorder device down hidden in his door, and
he actually tapes every time he ever gets pulled over. Hes out to get the
cops more than they are out to get him!

My friends starte calling everyone I knew when they started. Boy were they pissed. I have a 10 1/2 pg driving record up there but hey the judge let me off of everything but 2 tix (35in a 25 and 150 in a 65) It showed harassment. So some good came out of it:lala:
