i've never put one in so i don't know the details but from what i've seen, you strip out the interior to bare metal, weld the bars to the floor and to each other, paint if need to and reassemble interior. i think there may be bolt in bars but i wouldnt trust them and they might not pass inspection at the track.

How'd he do that to his doors? That's kind of different, but is it safe? If you put the doorbar on the rollcage and your doors opened from the front like that, it might make it easier to get in and out of. Not that it's easy to begin with. Ukraine Train pretty much has it witht he install, you have to gut and replace. You also have to make some minor plastic modifications to allow the bar to fit nicely with the interior wihtout pushing parts out of the way.

I'm guessing that chrome roll bar is a useless piece of crap designed purely for show cars. Real roll bars (especially in hard-tops) are assembled and welded IN the car, so it wouldn't be possible to chrome-plate it. Please tell me you don't want a roll bar just for the look.

If it was a one piece roll bar then it could be welded together then chrome plated. The flanges that welds to the floor would not have to be chromed, or you could grind it to bare metal to weld it to the floor.

What I mean is put it in as one piece! Then weld it to the floor. The carpet will hide the welds and any chrome that is grinded off.

Im not looking for a full roll cage, Just what would go directly behind the front seats.

I have T-Tops and would like to have the extra support incase I put it on its top. Besides this would be a good place to attach a 5-point race harnes.

that could be a real and functional roll bar , car is obviously a convertible so it would be pretty easy and definitely possible to put the whole rollbar in and the weld it to the floors...

that car looks to have a lot of custom work so I wouldn't be surprised if that rollbar was custom too... (IMO it looks like **** , but hey ,that's just my opinion, lol)
