....I think the purple-ish one looks alright on that particular vehicle, if not a little out of place...I think it's off of a Porsche, or something..? The chrome-type one I don't too much care for...

well im sure ur gonna get some odd responses and some defenite "i dont like it" answers.. but i dont think the purple one looks 2 bad.. as far as functionality goes.. i doubt they do all that much.. cept for the yellow on since it has a blower on it.. and some meats on the back.. prolly hauls some a$$ so might b needed .. but i don think it wood b all that necessary with out high speed...

as far as with the notchback?... im not sure it would fit 2 well.. or it might look kinda funny.. but who knows..

Thanks for your input.

I like to know what other people think about the wings. Personally I like the crome wing more than the other.

Just wish someone could point me in the right direction on where to find one.

thanks everyone:hail: :hail: :hail:

i dont like the purple one at all...the the drag car i kinda like...it looks like the spoiler might actaully do someting for that car...and a little FYI...i dont think it is chrome...it is probably made out of stainless steel...but then again i could be wrong...chrome is heavy. i do know that.

Well, as far as "how well they work"; don't worry about it. I read somewhere that spoilers are mostly for looks until you hit around 150mph (IIRC) when downforce becomes an issue. Where to buy them? Hmmm. Yellow pages under racing. Internet search on racing products. Heaven help me for saying this but your local import shop would probably have some to look at.

Of course, it's kind of funny that imports would have spoilers at all seeing as they're mostly front wheel drive vehicles. Add downforce to the rear of the car and you lighten the front of the car... where the drive wheels are...

...or maybe I'm just tired.

thanks,

LOL, I thought about that too. spoilers on imports. It does not make any sense but oh well.

There are no import aftermarket stores around here. Did you look at my location, Maine.

I'll do some more searching on teh net for them.

thanks:hail: :hail: :hail:

A friend of mine has a Rustang that has one of the silver wings on it. Yes, it is only driven on a 1/4 mile, the car isn't street legal. I will see where he got it and if you haven't gotten an answer yet, will let you know.

wow, ugly.

and like said above, unless your car hits 150 mph regularly, any spoiler is useless except for looks. No spoiler factory from a thirdgen had any functionality whatsoever.

hey wasnt the 91-92 factory z28 spoiler functional when u hit like 100mph or something? thats what ive heard. but also the one on the drag car. im sure that helps the thing keep the front wheels planted as he gets down the track at over 130mhp. and also with the one on the drag car it is bolted into the bumper and has like adjustable things on it( i just cant think of the stupid word ) so that you can postion the spoiler up or down for the hight of the spoiler. but also i think the chrome lookin one might be alumi. like polised alumi. becuz why would u wantto put a heavy chrome spoiler on ur car. wel thats my 2cents.

The guy that is running the twin turbo Camaro at speeds over 200 mph put a stock wraparound Trans Am spoiler on to help keep the car on the deck at speed.

I meant functionality on a stock car, as it came from the factory. Of course a spoiler is gonna make a difference on a car going 200 mph, but not on any factory thirdgen going 80 down the highway. Get what I mean?

It is really connected to the bumper?
I think you are looking for the word adjustable.

Thanks jump6pack.:hail: :hail: :hail:

As a matter of fact I do. If you notice up above I said it before you. Get what I mean? I was just adding another point to the discussion that's all. You said no "factory" spoilers were functional. I'm saying that factory spoilers are functional and have been used for their intended purpose - just not by ordinary beings.

Work better at what? It's there for looks bottom line. Unless you're doing insane speeds. If you're doing insane speeds you should be asking guys that run out at Bonneville - not your average street/strip guys that frequent this board.

S.

PS: No drama dmair5_0 - all is good.
