1983 'Bird/ Factory rear discs.
I just installed the REAR caliper recall kit.
Light was still lit, so in an attempt to tinker, I cracked the switch screwed into the prop valve. I would like to keep that warning-light feature. So, now, I might as well put in a new or better valve. Am I correct in assuming that it is part # 14089496, and are the lines direct-fit?

P.S.- The more I drive with the rebuilt rears, the harder the pedal gets, and the tighter the emergency-brake lever gets. At least something is right.

Happy Holiday

Seth

No you can't. 1983 is a PRE- Metric car (standard fittings) and that Combo valve is metric.

Sorry I can't help with the correct part number for you on a car that early.

Thank you. At least I now know that I am not being ignored, and my plumbing is not metric. Perhaps another individual has the appropriate part #.

Thank you. Your offer might be the simplest answer. What is a Mecham?

GMPartsDirect does not recognize this #. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I've occasionally found parts that they don't list that are still available, but more likely something that old is NLA.

Well, then, is it appropriate to accept "18inchboyds' kind offer? Seems to be the right part.

It sounds like it should be the right one.
