Sticking Fronts! HELP!!
Open post for ideas:
Im having an issue when braking where the fronts lock and stick engaged! After garaging it for the winter, I figured that the calipers were most likely sticking and considering the age, it was due time to replace them.
SO I went ahead and installed new roaters, calipers and pads. While I was at it I of course replaced the wheel bearings, knowing the price was cheep for good performance bearings. However, after finishing I have the same issues!!!!
At this point my gut feeling is that the rubber lines are the issues on the calipers. Any another ideas here before I go out and buy a set of steel braded? $70 is quite a bit to pay for something that is a guesstamate again!!
Note, I do have the 4th gen rear disk mod installed with a proportion valve, but the setup has worked well for over a year with no issues. Ive even tried full and no bias to the rear just to try and rule out any issues with the proportion valve. The rears seem to work fine with no sticking.

Definitely the hoses. If you get braided lines get them from Earl's. Some of the others are known for coming apart...run a search for more info.

Steel braided hoses are an upgrade over stock anyway, so it wouldn't be a complete waste if it turns out to not be the brake hoses.

I went ahead with the Earls. Let's hope its the lines!
Anyone know if the 4th gen calipers can accept these third gen Earls?? I suspect no.

I had the exact same problem, I changed the 2 front hoses with NAPA ones just to see if it was the problem, and these were the culprits...
