9 bolt to 10 bolt to use a c5 rear kit can anyone help?
ok guys i have an 86 iroc with the 9 bolt disc rear. i just ordered a c5/zo6 kit for the front. im told to do the rear with c5 brakes i need the 10 bolt set up which is ok for me cause im about to order a moser 12 bolt rear which has the option of re using 9 or 10 bolt parts to re use the stock brakes so im going to order the 10 bolt set up. but what parts are different? i know the back plates for sure but would i need to order anything else. and what would it take to have c5 rear brakes work as far as modifying anything else. like e brake to work, cables ect. ect. any help is greatly apreaciated

The C5 rear brakes are not a bolt on deal, I don't think anyone is running them since there's more involved to it. I also believe the carriers are not a direct bolt on to either 9 or 10 bolt backing plates. Good luck!

hello ed. im new here on this site but ive noticed and seen that you do brake kits and deffinately know what your doing. could you point me in the right direction on what i can or should do to the rear brakes. i dont mind spending money so cost isnt an issue. some people tell me to do the 89 and 90 11.6" rear factories, but i want cross drilled and slotted rotors. and would like matching calipers for the rear, the fronts for mine say corvette and are the z06 calipers so they are powder coated red. im more worried about brakes on it then anything else. the stocks suck. it will have a 400 sb in it with 625+ horse power so id rather have to much then not enough brakes.

Glad to help...the fronts do the majority of the braking so concentrate on those and get a good, dependable setup for the rears. The most direct bolt on is the 12" rear PBRs as you mentioned. Upgrading to drilled/slotted rotors is not a problem either, neither is powdercoating them to match the front C5s. Here's a rear PBR kit I just finished, powdercoated to match C5 fronts, drilled and slotted zinc washed rotors...just what you want. I'll send you a PM also:

Yes, complete as you see pictured and my customer opted for a 1LE prop valve as well. I supply all new rear lines, loaded calipers, backing plates, rotors, new e-brake cables (not pictured) and all hardware. I'll PM you with all the info.
