ls1 or c5 swap

I already decided to go ls1 in the rear. My question is, should i go ls1 or c5 in the front. I have heard that there is more clearence with the spindle with the c5 brakes. I know the rotor is bigger but I have 17 c5's so i'm not worried about that. I don't auto-x much but do drive it daily. What would be the difference in instalation, clearance, and performance. The price seems to be equal as the abutment bracket is double for ls1 brakes. Also i will be running a adj pv so that's not a concern either.

Run the C5's I know for me at least the parts alone were about the same price and when it comes to brakes, bigger is always better!

Did you put c5's in the rear? How much did it all come out to?

I picked up the C5 calipers for the front from a junk yard for $50 and bought rotors and pads from advance auto. dont remember what they cost. and Serpent99 sells the mounting brackets for $55 I turned my rotors down at my buddies shop, you could probably get someone to do it at a monro or midas any shop that turns brake rotors should be able to do it. just bring in your hubs after you cut off the rotor. and the brake lines you can get from earls, I think they were around $45. I have a 4th gen rear with LS1's. all this with the stock master cylinder. I had 1le rears before I did the swap so I dont know if that made a difference. once I get my car back together I hope to put these to the test.

do the C5 in the front and LS1 in the rear, thats what most ppl do anyway since the c5 rears arent easily adapted to our axles.

so what's involved with in upgrading the rear brakes from stock 4wd's?
is it just buying another caliper and rotor and pads and then a bracket to mount?

what about going from standard brakes to 1le's or ls1's in the rear?
