What do I need to convert my rear brakes to disks?
I hate my drum brakes, I can't stand 'em and I want 'em gone. I know nothing about brakes and how they work and what they need to work. I won't mind getting used parts if I can find good ones that work right. I just need to know what I need, I have the stock 15" wheels. Since I have a 91, I have ABS on the front, would there be a way to make that work on the rears too?

I don't understand how that thread is supposed to help me figure out which parts I needed. I saw the LS1 brake tech article, but that isn't what I need and I searched for disk brake conversion and it came up with 9 threads.

You might be better off getting a complete rear end with disc brakes

actually its alot easier to do the whole axle swap then trying buy different brake pieces and then piecing it together, overall it could cost more and take alot more time. well, i guess i will add, depending on which brake setup you want

I wouldn't mind swaping my rear end for a posi-trac one (I'm tired of the one wheel burn out too), but like it said it's a lot easier said that done becuase just finding one local in good shape won't be the easiest thing in the world to do.
