Sorry, I can't scan for you. The adjuster on the your 85, however, is forward in the tunnel above the drive shaft.

Re: Need an scan of parking brake adjust

I have also been having a problem with my ebrake. First, it doesnt work. I tried adjust the nut on that thing under the car. I turned it right, almost all the way. No go. However, i think that black bracket was just hanging off, instead of bolted to the body. Could that be the reason why its not working?

Re: Need an scan of parking brake adjust

The black bracket doesn't actually bolt to the car. The tension on the cables is the only thing that holds it in place. Make sure the front cable is clipped into place (bottom circle). Also make sure the 2 rear cables are slipped into the tabs/holders on each side of the driveshaft tunnel (top 2 circles). If the cables aren't in these holders, it will seem like the cables are too long.

Im still trying to figure out this problem. If I turn the nut, the whole screw thing moves with it. is it suppose to do that? I dont think so.

You have to hold the long screw with a wrench on the flats near the cable while turning the adjustment nut. Make it easy on yourself and soak it with penetrant long before you try it again.
