Those a re some NICE looking brakes..........I just priced out a set from Ed.

 

Tiny, I am sure they work a whole lot better than stock though. Are those stock rotors?

I need brakes soon, alot of fade in mine. I have about 40k miles on the rotors and about 20k on the pads. At least I did put on SS lines awhile back, that helped abit.

I just have plain old 12" C4 brakes. But they stop like whoa and look great, even with drums out back! Gotta love the 13" setups

 

Looks great! What rotors are you using? I have the same wheels and I'm hoping I can use a 12.75" or 13" C5 rotor...

 

C5? That's a good start. How about C6?

awww and I was feeling so good about my C5's LOL. You just HAD to rub it in huh? Nice setup man, someday I may upgrade to those, but for now the C5/C6's I have are working great for me!!

iansane, could you post a pic of your entire car? I was thinking about getting those wheels.

 

email ebmiller for a quote for the brake swap (C5 and C6). His swap is complete with EVERYTHING. So kits are not so complete.

 

As far as stopping power goes. It's a night and day difference between stock and my C5 units. I imagine the C6 6-pistons are even better, but I don't know how much of a seat of the pants difference you'd notice. I know it's the first upgrade that should be done to EVERY thirdgen, that's for SURE!!

My c6 stuff was pricey, but cheap in regards to other brake kits out there.
Calipers - 200ea
Rotors - I want to say 150ea
Padset - 200/set
That's basically all @ cost prices.

Retail is hideous though, the padset is $330 list!

 

I'll stick with my economical LS1 brakes, thanks. Calipers start at 140...

 

Man those C6 wheels looks sick on that bird. I'd LOVE to put those on my car but I'm against the spacer idea.
