uneven brake wear
what would cause the driver side brakes to wear less than the passenger side brakes?
the driver side was at about 1/4" remaining, pass was at about 1/8" remaining.
just installed new pads but i would like to resolve this problem if possible.

Re: uneven brake wear
Never encountered that problem, but perhaps something is wrong with your drivers side caliper since the passenger side seems to be braking harder and using up more pad. Does the car pull right?

Re: uneven brake wear
nope.
steering stays (or more correctly, stayed) perfectly light and didnt pull even under hard braking.
could it be a difference in the pads?

Re: uneven brake wear
this might sound off the wall to you but its normal . RF brakes wear a little more than the others . in other countries that drive on the left side of the road the LF brake wears first . road crown and other factors cause this . some of our aussie & japanese members can back this up . i found this to be true after i drove my american car several years in japan . what a challenge to drive a full size american car in japan . good luck .

Re: uneven brake wear
no, one was more worn but i cant remember which and i threw the pads away.
i think it was the outboard pads that wore more.
also, i was thinking that driving on the right might have something to do with it.
if you are turning left, the right pad will do more "work" because the outer wheel is turning faster than the inner wheel...
who knows.

The uneven pad wear between each caliper could be an indication that one caliper isn't free to slide.

Re: uneven brake wear
could it also be an indication that i need new brake lines?
i figure if there was a restriction in one line that would account for it...
