Hot exhaust + brake line
Thankfully its just the ebrake line, but when i was under the car today i was kinda shocked to see this. The brake line and the exhaust look to be too close together from the factory. it looks the pictures dont show much but the rubber outside is totally melted away and the metal under that is deformend. my car has had the exhaust replaced, but it was a factory replacement. I cant believe that GM would build a car where the exhaust location would interfere with the brake line.
Has anyone else noticed this on their car? and what did you do to fix it? I will be able to figure out a solution better when the car is off the ground.

Be sure that those two little "S" pieces of steel are there holding up you cables. In this pic, see the extra peice of steel on the drive shaft tunnel to the left of the pumkin and right above the torque arm? The cable should be attatched to that via the little "s" clips.

Check post #10 for a pic of the "S" clips, which are discontinued from GM (I know, I'm looking for some):

Re: Hot exhaust + brake line
mine curves around behind the back seat, so you're definitely missing something or broke something.
